Books. I have found that none of the above work for me, I have tried calms sleeping tablets but they are pathetic. Seven seas have some tablets

http://www.sseas.com/products/sleep/slumbertablets.aspx

But i don't know if they work.

So my questions are:

1) Has any1 tried these and if so how effective are they.
2) Does anyone have any solutions that could possibly help.

All serious answers are apriciated as this is a problem thats effecting my life.

Thank you in advanced.

If you take drugs to go to sleep, it will get harder and harder and you will need stronger drugs till you die. See site below for natural help. George Peppard said that if you have a problem and think alcohol [a drug] will help, then you have 2 problems. Anti-depressants were created to counteract the depressing effect of sleeping pills.

chocolate drin ks wont work due to the sugar!

Hot water, sip and that should do it. also turn your matress over every 3 months. and make sure your warnm enought but not too hot. and drag yourself away from the tv or computer. dont read a book as they are too interesting to put down (jane austin novels are boring tho) and careful with sleeping tablets, they may make you too sleepy in the morning. dont drink coffee after 3pm too and try not to go to bed on a 100% full stomack. that is all i kn ow i think at this time.

try breathing slowly ten times (doesnt work for me but it might work for you cause my dads exactly like you hes insomniac) and try diffrent possitions where you feel confortable in bed. close your eyes and relax (if that doesnt work well…my dad said that he makes a list on is head of what hes going to do tommorow or what he wants to do in his life when he gets old or something) and then in about a few min you might start to feel a little woozy and go to sleep…

lool sorry if that didnt make sense but i just cant explain it.

I went and had a look and I can't find the ingredients. I would not buy something I don't know what it is.
Herbal Calming is great if you can't sleep because of a stressful life and just need to calm down.

Coffee Cruda is good if you can't sleep because you had too much caffeine (find at health food stores)

5-HTP is used by the body to make seratonin, an important neuro-transmitter for normal nerve and brain function allowing for enhanced mood, well-being and healthy sleeping patterns.
    (also at health food stores)

    Hope these help.

Melatonin works for some people. If it is effective for you, you might need to experiment with the dosage and at what time to take it, as it makes some people groggy the next day. Try Tylenol or Advil PM; it works for some. I'm not familiar with the items you've mentioned (except for the hot choc). Music keeps me awake, and if my book is good that will too. I've suffered for years with insomnia and I'll take almost anything to ensure I sleep.
