If you don’t know what I’m so excited about, here’s why I’m excited:

  • Brain entrainment is one of the best, most successful cures for insomnia out there right now.
  • Meditation puts you in position to fall asleep and works best on anxiety and chatter cases - people who can’t fall asleep due to worrying or endless talking in the mind.{If you just lie down at night, and nothing happens, even though nothing else is going on at all (no pain, thinking, or anxiety, for example), then try this cure for insomnia.}

I just found something REALLY COOL - it’s a free brain entrainment audio you can download and listen to that guides you into a meditative state.

You can use this before going to sleep to calm down and clear your mind.

It’ll still take knowledge of meditation to use this.  So, real quick, here’s the idea:

Mediation is about being completely clear of distractions.  It’s very simple to do:

1. Sit in a way that makes you relaxed.

2. Clear your mind of all thoughts.

3. Focus on an “object of placement” - meaning, some object.  It can be anything.  Object means “some variable”.  Focusing on your breathing is how Buddhist mediation starts, but when using BRAIN ENTRAINMENT, THE AUDIO BECOMES THIS “OBJECT”.

4. Keep your line of thought on the object of placement.  Your brain is likely to go wandering off, thinking about something other than the object of placement.  Mediation is about clearing this, or allowing your thoughts to settle.  For example, when you first start mediating with harsh anxiety your brain may be frantic.  Don’t worry about *trying to stop it*.  Just always go back to the object, so that even if you forgot and have been distracted for 30 minutes, as soon as you realize this, you instantly go back to the object of placement.

If this is challenging for you, just ask yourself, “Without thinking about it, what does it sound like?”

5. The longer you do it, the more developed the state and skill.  Once your confident with it, give it at least 5 minutes of completely clear, focused mediation.

6. Repeat, repeat, repeat.  Although it doesn’t require effort other than your time and focus, this is a skill that your mind will develop more and more with time.  It’s been weeks of meditating for me now, and I still suck at it… but then again, I have really bad chatter and tend to “not want to” meditate.
